Get Your Dub On!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on May 31, 2011 by rubberteethmusic

For those who actual read this blog from time to time I apologise for the lack of posts but Uni gets in the way and I haven’t had time to do any remix deadlines either!

Anyway, as I wait for a lift from this stupid place I thought I’d do a post. The tune below is a fantastic track by none other than the main man Switch and Trevor Loveys. It’s been around for a bit now although I first heard it in Hijack’s DJ mix he did for Triple J (the same mix that made me a die hard Hijack fan).

Sweet vocal cuts and a killer groove, enough to get any dancefloor bouncing. BUT this post is not really for the track below…In fact, its for the Hijack remix of the very same track ‘Switch & Trevor Loveys – Get Your Dub On Part 2 (Hijack Remix).

STILL unreleased since I heard it in Hijack’s Data Transmition Mixtape, although apparently due out soon….

They say good things come to those who wait butttt…Bullshit, just release it already!

Anyway, until then just enjoy the original in all its glory :)

Oh My!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on April 26, 2011 by rubberteethmusic

As he prepares for his first two upcoming EP’s, Matt Yerman aka ‘Oh My!’ has been kinda enough to give away his fidgety/jackin’ bootleg for Lauryn Hill’s ‘That Thing’. I’ve posted about the young american before but he just makes too much good music! Fast building an impressive resume of remixes and originals it won’t be long before this guy is up there with the best of them e.g Tom Eq, Hijack, Kyle Watson.

Suss out his soundcloud for some fantastic Jackin’, Tech & Fidget House.

He’s one of the pioneers of the electro house/fidget scene but it seems his style is taking a big change as he focuses his sound more towards the jackin’ tech/house. Although I love what I shall call ‘Old’ Kelevra, I’m not complaining…He has produced some absolute bomb jackin’ tracks such as the one below.

Also suss his latest remix for Gio (Hungary) – Deja Vu, way good..

Kelevra, still big in the scene!

Woobbes Remixes Wahblin!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on March 20, 2011 by rubberteethmusic

If you are looking for groove and bass look no further. French DJ/Producer ‘Woobbes’ has consistently been putting together remixes and originals that shake the dance floor and slap you in the face when the bass line drops.

I was lucky enough to have his magic touch on my latest original Wahblin. The track follows his signature groove and swing on the drum beat with big distorted bass and atmosphere to match. Whats better is it’s up for free download!

Another one of my favourites is his original ‘Is here’. Sampling Missy Elliot the track has some mega chopped vocals to fill a sweet rhythm along with a bangin drop!

What You Know – Two Door Cinema Club (Capt & Cooked Remix)

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on March 15, 2011 by rubberteethmusic

The Capt & Cooked boys are at it again with their blog loving remixes, this time for Two Door Cinema Club’s ‘What You Know’. Taking a break from all the noise and distortion, this one maintains the essence of the original track but puts a nice spin on it with a solid talking bass.

Enjoy

A Trip Down Memory Lane ft. Fake Blood

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on March 3, 2011 by rubberteethmusic

If you hop in a time machine and go back to the year 2008, chances are you’ll find a dumb, naive and clueless 18 year old Rubberteeth (I’m still pretty much those things). If you then follow that young man to Parklife 2008 you’ll likely witness his first exposure to electronic music, drug use, festivals andddd….Fake Blood.

Funnily enough I didn’t like him the first time I saw one of his sets. I didn’t really know what I listening too, the set time was early in the day , I was avoiding an ex girlfriend and I wasn’t drunk enough to attempt dancing. Later that night however once I’d loosened up I witnessed a DJ set by the Plump Dj’s who happened to drop Fake Blood’s track ‘Mars’ to a massive crowd. After I heard that on a festival sound system I was bitten by the bug that is ‘Fake Blood’ and a love for electronic music, djing and music production followed. I’m not saying Fake Blood was the sole influence that shaped what I am today but he is certainly one of the bigger reasons that I enjoy what I do. The next year I had the opportunity to see him again, supported by Sinden at a Warehouse Party. To this day that party has been the best gig I’ve seen…. and I was sober!

The guy is good at scratching, chooses the right tracks and knows when to unload a banger/drop some melody. Jump to 2011, apparently he is in the studio again getting busy. I’d love to hear some strange festival bangers similar to 2008 with tracks like Mars, Anyway You Choose To Give it or Stuck On Repeat although I think he is continuing his more tamer style tunes (stuff that doesn’t quite melt your brain). Either way he oozes quality so I’m happy to hear he is keeping busy.

Long live fake blood
